Salehi made the remark in a meeting with Sri Lanka's Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Badiuddin.
Referring to the existing favorable ties between Iran and Sri Lanka in economic and trade areas, Salehi noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to expand relations with Sri Lanka in industrial area, construction of cement factory, machine manufacturing and building construction.
'Sri Lanka can make use from Iran's experiences in different areas,' the minister added.
Sri Lankan Minister of Commerce and Industries Rishad Badiuddin, for his part, said that his country has always enjoyed Islamic Republic of Iran's supports while expressing hope that such supports would continue in future.
Badiuddin said that he expects more Iranian companies to take part in Sri Lanka's development projects in future.
A recent report highlights the failure of Western sanctions against Iran, saying the global communities cannot afford to ignore Iran given their transactions with such a major country.
